WindowPaper XP solves this problem in Windows XP where it doesn't let you personalize the background of the windows of a folder (in other words something you can see behind the folder content).

With WindowPaper XP you can view the photos and images you want as a background to the content of your Windows folders, simply and quickly. It also lets you, to avoid losing the contrast between background and content, change the colour of the file fonts in this folder, with a perfect result.

WindowPaper XP also lets you work with common image formats: GIF, JPG, BMP, etc. And if you like you can also add HTML content to your folders.
